Finally, an app to connect the team.
iCareFOSTER increases efficiency and collaboration among foster parents, social workers, and attorneys serving children and youth in foster care. Typically, most members of the team see the child/youth only once a month and cannot develop a full understanding of his/her needs, goals, and progress.
Foster parents input calendar entries, case notes, important documents and photos to bring the child into focus for all members of the team.
There are six main pages:
- Child/Youth (Profile At-a-Glance)
- Team (Profiles with clickable email, GoogleMaps, phone dialing)
- Journal (Chronological account of progress, case notes, attributed to logged in user)
- Calendar (grouped into categories, some events recurring, notifications via email and push notification)
- Photos/Docs (an album with date-stamped, captioned images, plus a vault for important documents, snaps of docs signed)
- QUESTIONS to TEAM (Message board of sorts with email and push notification to selected team members or whole team)
Access, Accountability & Security
Users access the case notes via the mobile website or via the app on a smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android). It operates via Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which provides encryption to and from HIPAA-compliant cloud servers. This provides excellent security and preserves the integrity of the data to be seen only by authorized users.
